About Ron Morrell
For years, my life ran on a straight and level course. I spent seven years as a U.S. Air Force attack pilot, then transitioned to civilian aviation, flying passengers across the globe. But during the turbulence of airline bankruptcies and mergers, I realized I needed a backup plan. That’s when I threw myself into learning the real estate market in the Seattle area and eventually opened a small franchise brokerage.
Real estate wasn’t just a side interest, it became a way to find my own landing spot for life after flying. In 2010, at a real estate convention, I met Michael Simons at the Tres Amigos booth, and that moment changed everything. He introduced me to Costa Rica, and I was instantly hooked: the people, the weather, the lifestyle. Within a year, I bought a condo in Playas del Coco.
After 31 years in the airlines and a decade as a part-time resident, I upgraded to a home in Pacifico. Just as construction wrapped up, my company offered me early retirement. I didn’t hesitate. I packed up, left the clutter behind, and moved south.
It’s been a big shift, from flying military jets and commercial airliners to living the “Pura Vida” life. But it feels right. Friends and family who visit always have questions about the move, and their curiosity sparked something in me. So, I’m back in real estate—this time in Costa Rica—ready to share what I’ve learned and help others make the same leap with confidence.

About Molly Loe
For nearly three decades, I helped people buy and sell homes in Minnesota, with a focus on new construction. I loved what I did because I got to guide clients through one of the biggest milestones of their lives. Many of those clients continued to work with me over the years, and I’ve always taken pride in earning that trust.
Outside of real estate, I’ve got a deep love for cooking. About eight years ago, I turned that passion into a side business, teaching others how to cook and connect over good food. Sharing the things I love has always come naturally to me.
Then came my first trip to Costa Rica—and everything changed. I fell in love with the beauty of the country, the warmth of the people, and the slower, more grounded pace of life. It didn’t take long to realize this is where I wanted to be. I invested, and became a legal resident of Costa Rica, and started a new chapter.
Now I’m a partner at Costa Rica Sunset Homes in Playa del Coco, bringing years of real estate experience and a genuine love for this place to the work I do here. Sharing my experiences with others in this process brings me great joy.
